Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What's the difference between coaching and therapy?
A: Therapy heals wounds and addresses mental health concerns. Coaching builds capacity and maximizes potential. I'm a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, but coaching is forward-focused and development-based, not treatment-based. If you have clinical issues (severe depression, PTSD, addiction, suicidal thoughts), start with therapy first.
Q: Do you work with men outside the U.S.?
A: Yes, via video calls. I'm licensed in Massachusetts for clinical work, but development coaching (non-clinical) is available internationally.
Q: What if I need to pause or take a break?
A: Life happens. Reach out and we'll work together to find a schedule that fits your circumstances.
Q: How do I know if I need therapy vs. coaching?
A: If you have clinical issues (severe depression, PTSD, active addiction, suicidal thoughts), start with therapy. If you're functional but want to optimize and grow, coaching is great. If unsure, we'll discuss on the discovery call.
